This
week you'll be creating your own photo blogs for CCV's online Digital
Photography I. This blog is an example of what yours will look like.
Each week please title your blog comment with the week #, this makes it easier
for everyone to know which post to read.
This
week I'd like you to experiment with posting a comment to a blog, so
click on "comment" below this post and add your two cents. Use your
imagination and share your ideas about this photo. Is there a story this
picture conveys?
To me, the most interesting aspect of this photo is how it looks like both a bird, and flower. The way the bird opens its mouth looks as though a flower is blooming.
I like the contrast in colors: the yellow against the grays. I thought it was a flower at first too. The wide open mouth tells a lot. I found myself thinking about the mother bird and the sound it might be making. The same picture with a closed mouth wouldn't be as compelling. Its cool to see that something as simple as the bird's open mouth adds so much to a photograph.
Very interesting angle. I like the photo, especially the contrast in colors. I also like pictures in greyish colors or black and white with a pop of bright color. And yellow really stands out in this photograph! Also as for the story, it seems like it's a baby bird calling for his mother. He might be hungry or cold.
This is a great picture! I love the bright yellow focal point, but as you look closer at this picture you can see the detail of the baby birds moist and wrinkled feathers from being all crinkled up inside the egg.
This baby bird is a beginner at life, hungry and ready for food. I am a beginner at digital photography, and voraciously awaiting all there is to learn!
I like how everything's more focused on the beak of the bird, like the color. That's what catches your eye first; the yellow. You see everything else second, like the brownish-greyish body and nest.
I really like the perspective on this piece. I find it a very creative angle. I especially like how the beak is the focal point and is is slightly off centered. After doing the readings from the past two weeks I am so excited to learn how to capture images from various angles!
This is a nice photo showing all the fine detail within this baby birds beak. It really speaks to me about how vulnerable and dependent these little ones are.

ReplyDeleteI agree about it looking like both a flower and a bird. At a quick first glance the bright yellow of the beak resembles a blooming flower.

ReplyDeleteI love the bright yellow that catches my attention at first glmpse. I believe it to be a birds mouth but I'm not quite sure
